SMAC is played on a chess board.

1 - The game objective is to block the attacker (BLUE) with 4 defensive pawns (RED).

2 - Attacker can move diagonally, forward and backward.

3- Defensive can move diagonally, forward only.

4 - When the attacker crosses over the defensive line, he wins.

5 - When the defensive blocks the attacker, he wins.

6 - The players move one square at a time.

7 - The attacker goes first.
