Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar-2017

The Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar is instituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India to recognize, inspire and celebrate excellence in sanitation and hygiene practice in Schools. The explicit purpose of the awards is to honor schools that have undertaken significant steps towards fulfilling the mandate of the Swachh Vidyalaya Campaign.

The performance of the schools will be evaluated under the following categories

1. Water

2. Toilets

3. Handwashing with Soap

4. Operations and Maintenance

5. Behavior Change and Capacity Building.

Eligibility

The Awards would be open to the following categories of schools:

a) All Government schools that fall under Department of Education

b) Local Body

c) Tribal and Social Welfare Department

And have valid UDISE are eligible to apply
