With the latest mobile application, we tried to build a simplistic mobile application with latest technologies. Here are some of the advantages of the same:

We can load Tableau dashboards on the mobile application now and the mobile version of the dashboards will make sure that rework of the dashboards on the mobile app is not required. Since the dashboard is prepared only once, it shall eliminate double calculations and ensures consistency everywhere on web and mobile.

All the forms on the mobile app are loaded via pre-defined web pages in our web application. This way, if there is any changes or updates in the forms, we can update them without updating mobile application. This way, we can ensure that the forms, code behind it and the layout of the form are prepared only once, hence reducing the effort for the mobile app.

Dashboards and Forms can be loaded onto mobile application, dynamically, without updating the mobile app.

The mobile app is built on latest technology called "React native" which is kind of hot topic these day in the mobile applications. The technology allows for multiple plugins, functionalities and layouts that can be used in the future with ease.

New mobile app shall be taking up lesser cache memory on our phones, as everything shall be loaded from the cloud and hence reducing dependency.

This technology also allows for in house applications in MRVC, which allows for the data to be loaded from intranet and internet both.

The style sheets of the application are made dynamic, so that we can change the look and feel of the application easily in the future. This allows for application to be made in dark mode, with minimal effort.
