This November, the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region of the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) – the leading supply chain resilience and security industry Association - brings together its biggest-ever audience of global supply chain resilience leaders to discuss the lessons learned, how supply chains are changing, and the continued risks posed to products being stored and in-transit from Organised Crime Groups and other opportunist offenders - and you’re invited. This event is free of charge to all supply chain and security stakeholders. Delivered over 3-hour daily sessions in the week of 8-12 November, TAPA EMEA’s first-ever Virtual Conference, Exhibition & Networking Event invites Subject Matter Experts to present their views and discuss the future of global supply chains, emerging risks, new technologies to combat cargo losses, and best practice in mitigating criminal threats. Alongside this interactive event will be a daily Virtual Exhibition, giving registered delegates the opportunity to meet with specialist supply chain security solutions providers and to learn about products and services designed to reduce the risk of cargo thefts. With the European Parliament estimating an €8.2 billion annual cost to businesses from cargo crime in Europe alone, and with client relationships and supplier reputations resting on their ability to deliver as promised, the stakes for supply chain resilience have never been higher. In its latest Cargo Theft Annual Report, TAPA EMEA reports criminal attacks on supply chains in 56 countries across the region and a 25% year-on-year increase in the loss values of stolen products, ranging from clothing and footwear, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and hygiene goods, computers/laptops, phones, food and drink, cash, metal, furniture and household appliances, tobacco, tools and building materials, and many more. Today, virtually every type of product is a target for cargo thieves, with the average loss for major incidents over the latest 12-month reporting period of €529,348 per crime. This event aims to provide insight and intelligence for anyone responsible for the resilience and security of global supply chains and to raise their awareness of the risks they face and the solutions which are available to help their companies, employees and customers stay safe from attack.
