In less than a month he wrote 14 chapters of the book and gave her the working title “Fiesta”. He completed the work on the novel Hemingway already in Paris, September 21, 1925, writing under the title: “The Lost Generation”. Hemingway first heard this quote from Gertrude Stein and decided to use it without assuming that it would become a well-known literary term.
