Search

Train Info Guide is based on one simple feature ‘search’. All that a user has to do it search for train based on ‘From location’ to ‘destination’. The search response will be within seconds listing all the trains and their respective schedules for that particular route / search request.

An interesting utility is the ‘Recently searched’ wherein the recent searches are saved in the chronological order, which is an unlimited listing.

In addition, one can save favourite searches, which will be listed in the ‘Favourites’

The search result display is concise, making it easy for the user to skim through the results within seconds.

Fare

Train Info Guide app provides train fares for all the trains listed as per the Indian Railways official fare chart.

A user can get extract the tariff about a particular train using this feature with just two inputs, train name / number and class of travel. As per the Indian Railway guidelines, the fare will vary from train to train, and also based on class of travel, even though the route is same.

The fare could also change based on the day or travel, which is subjected to the Indian Railways tariff chart.

Route

An essential feature intrinsic to the Train Info Guide is the Route tracking feature of immense value for all travellers / family of travellers to identify the route with respect to a specific train, the stops at different stations, duration of stop at each station, and of course the most viewed time-to-destination on a specific route.

Live status

Train Info Guide provides you the facility to track trains and get LIVE UPDATES of a specific train, including LIVE DATE of the current location of the train, train delay, if any, and also the distance covered by a specific train till now.

PNR Status

This will be one of the most used features in the app is the ‘PNR Status Finder’, which provides the info on the status of the reservation with respect to a specific PNR. In addition, the feature also lists the ‘Recently searched’ - PNR status queried so that one doesn’t have to type the PNR again to query the status of booking.
