View and tag photo messages at locations important to you.

Was Here allows you to take a new or old picture from your phone and "Tag" it at whatever location you are at. There are two settings for this: Public allows you to "Tag" a photo message for anyone to see; Private allows you to "Tag" a photo message that only people accepted into your private viewer list can see.

The "Location" bar allows you to leave yourself a reminder as to where you "Tagged" your photo.

The "Alert" box allows you to type in names of people from your private viewer list and send them the information you write in your "Location" bar. It gives them a clue as to where to locate your photo/message. It can be a game or a straight forward set of instructions.

"View" mode has private and public settings too. This mode allows you to see tagged photos that are within 100 meters of you. If you select "public" you will see all the photos around you that were tagged for the public domain. "Private" allows you to see whatever privately tagged photos you have placed near you and those of other users that have let you onto their private viewer list. If there are more than 10 within range, you will see the most recent 10 first and will have to scroll to see the rest. If you are in a high traffic area and want to be able to see your tag again, you may want to privately tag it. If you want to put it out to the universe for all to possibly see but you may never see again, tag it publicly.

When you attempt to tag or view something, your ability to do so will increase proportionately with your internet connection strength. For the most part tags will land/be tagged within 30 meters of your location if your internet connection strength is good and the location services (i.e. GPS) on your phone is good.

You can access your friends by going to: Settings-->Edit Viewers. In the search box at the top, type in the email address that your friend registered with. They will be sent a request from you to their viewer list, once they accept, you both will be able to view each others privately tagged photos.

Was Here is a location based memory album. By limiting the range from which a "Tagged" message can be viewed, the user experiences the sights, sounds, smells, memories associated with that location while sharing in the photos and messages that they and others associate with that spot.

This is meant to be used for good. So many good things happen all around us, everyday, in every culture, around the world. Was Here is meant to help share that. Whatever you use Was Here for, whether it be in your daily life, at school, while traveling, at a game, for a memorial or whatever...please do it with a kind heart. We all have the potential to be better, good people. I will try and I hope you do too.
