Android-Based Augmented Reality Car Showroom. On a wider view, people tend to explore things out of the box in terms of technology such as 3D viewing of cars through the use of an Android phone. Mainly, cARs intended for 3D representation of cars to view the different models virtually in a real world. Aligning this application on some multinational automotive manufacturers would be a great deal for them. Most likely, these companies provide their vehicle galleries on papers such as brochures or in a car showroom. The application provides portability in presenting a certain car model without having to bring a physical object. It also gives the user the satisfaction of viewing a car in 3D rather than seeing it in a brochure. The user could also view the car's interior design by walking through the object.

Usage

This application requires accessing smart mobile phone's camera to scan a marker or a target where the 3D car is going to be placed.

The object is going to be projected on the ground through the use of the “ground plane detection” (Requires android 7.0 or higher). The camera will scan a ground target (preferably in a bright area), and an indicator will show when a qualified target has found.

The application also implements voice recognition through the use of an online artificial intelligence. When the car is projected, the user can speak a certain command by tapping the record button on the UI for the car animations such as "Open the Door", "Open the Windows", "Open the Trunk", "Open the Hood", "Start the Engine" and "Change the Color". The application works offline but the voice recognition function requires access to the internet.
