Pulp is an alternative rock band formed in Sheffield in 1978. The band consists of Jarvis Cocker on vocals and guitar, Candida Doyle on keyboards, Mark Webber on guitar, Steve Mackey on bass, Nick Banks on drums and Richard Hawley on guitar and backing vocals.

CAREER

In the 1980s the band survived in search of success, but earned prominence in the mid-1990s with the release of DIFFERENT CLASS in 1995.

Their album THIS IS HARDCORE, was not released until the next three years. They released their last album WE LOVE LIFE in 2001. In October 2003, Pulp has been able to sell over 10 million copies of the album.

So great popularity was achieved by Pulp. In November 2010, it was announced that Pulp will return to play live in 2011 which will be held on the Isle of Wight Festival, Primavera Sound, and Wireless Festival.
